how i felt about losing my memory from migraines

my body lays flat and lifeless beneath the sheets

the audio of a bone cracking and squishing pounds beneath my ears

I don't know how long i’ve been here

I don't remember a time before this

memories hide behind the fortress of a concrete skyscraper

locked doors and windows, allowing me no way in

sometimes, if I’m quiet enough, I can hear the trickles of laughter and screams

i can feel the emotions that have been lost alongside them

it’s brief

and i can never recall what was real or imagined

But I know if it exists in my head, doesn’t that mean it's real to me?

i just wish i could remember

:you’ll never find what you’re looking for if you don’t know what it is you lost:
