Memories in the Soil

Embedded in the Earth

By Seashell Harpspring Published 12 months ago Updated 12 months ago 1 min read

Memories are embedded into the soil

They stay with us always in the earth

Needing of water, but drinks oil

Regrets within can cause turmoil

Flowing like a surf

Memories are embedded into the soil

Don't let them come to boil

Or you will ruin your turf

Needing of water, but drinks oil

Don't wish the worst of my life onto others, making them recoil

But my enemies wish this upon themselves as they try to take my worth

Memories are embedded in the soil

Like a scare standing still as a gargoyle

In the stillness, finding a way to light the hearth

Needing of water, but drinks oil

Those days we stop to dig out the spoil

Keep along the path of the firth

Memories are embedded in the soil

Needing of water, but drinks oil
