Memories

memories are zombies on crack

By Shams SaysPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

memories are zombies on crack

perhaps I could have convinced

myself of my worth

but looking at you I swore

I’d never be enough

sabotage seems better

than admitting defeat

prove to you I’m nothing

but a liar and a cheat

sulk away in your corner

pretty as you were

never know I planted

the seeds of your adore

sprinkled like pixie dust

around your head

see the glittering lights

don’t save me

move on to someone

more sane and secure

push up the ladder

don’t leave your ass exposed

let me be the fevered dream

nameless freak

you can’t tell him

of who you used to be
