Dreams that die so briefly after they're born,

Like those from birth, unfortunate and unworthy,

Brought into such a life, so full of ridicule and your scorn,

Unknowing of any better were he.

With no muse, nor guiding hand through this life,

In a world so cold and lonely, solitarily facing one's doom,

Young dreams that would die, life's sharpness cut them like a knife,

Sending him alone, crying into a dark corner of a secret room.

To be used and discarded by ones that invade your heart,

Perhaps it would be better to face their cold and callous abuses,

Face reality right from the start,

Instead of believing you were meant for this life's uses.

No island to escape to, not a solitary piece of the world for you,

From all corners of the world, people's ill intentions are what you found,

Unready, unworthy, and unwise you succumb, not knowing what to do,

Sad temptations flying overhead, seductive voices, a siren sound.

Nothing is real in the world and all those dreams hath ended in dirt,

An insidious lie from within,

Rocketed toward you, your biggest hurt,

Again, you missed the signs of such sin, signs there when you did begin,

Missed chances and glory,

Stumbles through time,

Living the strangest, most colorful story,

Sinking deeper and deeper into the world full of grime.

Yet all he ever dreamt of evaded his grasp,

Evaded him long past knowing what to do,

True love escaped him, til nearly his last,

Finding true love failed, something he knew when his life was through.
