The last rose of summer-
Summer nears its end
Goodbye, my sun-born friends
Last rose, bobs and sheds
The Joke-
Ladder kickers
Jealously guarding their myths
Justifying hate
Distant dreamer (Tanka)-
Turning from the past
Hope carries me the distance
Dreaming becomes both
Journey and destination
Wonder, my only anchor
I got my Flu shot and COVID booster last Friday afternoon, and I have been down for the count. I always like to remind myself that getting either illness would be so much worse for me, but it doesn't make me less tired. Or make the gigantic, ugly bruise the shot left go away any quicker. Maybe next time I will ask to do it myself. 💉💥🦠
