Melodies and Mischievous Birds
A Lyrical Dance
On a street where the pigeons ran wild,
Lived a man who played jazz with a smile,
He would dance on his toes,
As he wrinkled his nose,
And his laughter rang out like a child.
.
A young lady who knitted with words,
Fashioned lines for the mischievous birds,
With a twirl and a twist,
She'd persist and insist,
Till the songs she had written were heard.
.
When one day they did happen to meet,
They found kinship both strange and unique,
On the dark side of town,
They would laugh and astound,
With their quirks and impossible feats.
.
So they cherished each day that they shared,
On adventures so musically paired,
With their spirits entwined,
They would play out their time,
For the pigeons who only just stared.

As usual, very well done sir, though I must add that this piece made me feel really happy. Nice work!
What a beautiful story - and the last line had me laughing! I loved the play on words throughout the limericks. Very clever! And really well done 🤗
