"A Different Path"

Mélancolie

Ever since that gloomy day,

the day I turned and walked away…

I’ve had some issues understanding,

how one's heart could endure withstanding…

The pain I felt was meant to stay,

my beating heart had gone astray…

How was I to know that you would be,

still holding almost all of me….

In your hands lies my heart,

Even though we’re so far apart…

Going about my life is completely a joke,

how long now has it been since we’ve spoke…

It’s clear to me now that you’ll always be here,

but the pain is all I have left to hold dear…

Ever since that gloomy day,

the day I turned and walked away…

Sorrow has taken over my soul,

heartbreak has finally taken its toll.

Everybody has a voice. Some are loud, almost deafening and others are so quiet you barely even notice that they're there. All voices should be heard - here's mine - I hope you take the time to hear it.
