Meant To Walk With God

Lyric

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished 3 months ago • 1 min read

Verse 1
I am meant to walk with God in heaven, not just stand tall with mankind.
The weight of  earthly thinking only keeps chains upon my mind.
So I must strive to see that every quiet holy moment pulls me past the world I know,
To a truth that asks for courage just to rise up and let it go.

Verse Two
I am destined to swim the rivers where  divine cosmic currents run,
Not the shallow earthly puddles that pretend to touch the sun.
Our humanity can bind us with  false stories we believe,
And ego paints it so sacred that we’re too frightened to leave.

Chorus
I am meant to walk with God in heaven, not stand tall with mankind.
I am meant to swim the cosmos, not stay tethered to this line.
I am made to fly with angels, not remain where my flesh and bone body began.
I am reaching for the truth beyond the limits of human man.
I am meant to walk with God in heaven, not stand tall with mankind.

Verse Three
I want to rise and fly with the angels, not swing from earthly trees,
This nest is just a boundary when I’m meant to spread my wings.
And though the world feels proud and certain in the stories it repeats,
We must choose holy higher paths where our spirits truly meet.

I am meant to walk with God in heaven, not stand tall with mankind..
