Meaningful Work Day

Most days we need someone in our household for work that makes money

Each day helping the family to survive and thrive

An alternative is work with no pay

Nice to do work that isn't just to make a corporation money

Interesting ideas explored with creations abound

Going out to donate and picking up trash

Feeding animals and those with growling stomachs

Utilizing time to be helpful instead of only interested in self success

Listening to others instead of competing to surpass them

Working to make the world more content of a place to live

Others each day sit in a cubical tucked away

Returning home with only enough time to eat and spend time with family

Keeping up with any other hobby a chore

Doing what I choose throughout the day is better to me than a set job

Allowed to find the time to better the neighborhood or give to book boxes

Yielding not to the excruciating office politics
