Me and the Beast

Ramblings from my dying soul rising and falling?

I was an animal

a wild creature with nothing but the Beast

inside me.

I was a rusting anchor

tucked in the bosom of the reefs

waiting for the order to strand my caretakers.

I was a yowling banshee

condemning my predecessors

because they dared outlive me and His schemes.

I was an angel of mischief

the killer of Loki and his children

whose power He desired.

I was the will of man

a survivor for the sake of surviving

to do His wishes.

I was Him

He was me

and We were we

and I will never be I again.
