Master of Tricks

Halloween

By Twisted_PandoraPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

Witches' crackles screeches through the night,

As caldrons bubble over from a boiling fright,

From the truly horrific, breathtaking sight-

Babies snatched, entangled in webs of air,

Taken by old wishes to the King Goblin's lair,

High above the flaming jack-o-lantern's glare,

With unseemly grins and wicked stares,

Taunting Cerberus to come out and Play,

For this day, where spirits try to slip away,

Even Medusa is tempted to be swayed,

To stop the blood flow as she pervades,

Door to door, leaving petrified statues in her wake,

For the Reaper to come and eat them like cake,

Slithering to their fleeting warmth like a snake,

A promenade of the nightmares yet to come,

As demons leap out of their shadows to strum,

The children's yells from under their thumbs,

Until they crumble and froth into pond scum,

Where they'll be chewed like bubble gum,

Leaving the savage scarecrow their crumbs,

While bats fly above it all, overseeing the outcome-

The masters of tricks treating on Hallows' Eve
