Mask

We all have a mask, a facade, just to make it through the day.

Have you seen people?

They look so tired in their masks

Some of them non-believers

-

And I am the one who sees it

We are all new to this place

Straight horrifying experimental pollution

In our brains, our hearts, in our souls

-

Have you seen yourself?

You look like you escaped from a cell

Now you might not be a believer

-

So don’t come looking for me

To tell you when you will expire

I can see in your eyes

All the miles burnt and smoking

-

Have you seen me lately?

Walking around without my senses

Tired and diluted with lies within mazes

-

I wish I had a place to retire

So, when it calls me, I’ll answer

This place that forgot me more than a thousand times

Black shadows instead of illuminant halos

-

Have you seen it lately?

Seen me smiling with my flair

While angry and ready to throw a chair

-

My mask is not made for this

It’s not fair!

But who cares

Just play the game and kill the despair

-
