North? South? East? West?

Butterfly flying where he likes has nobody asking him why he don't swim. Under water there's so many kinds yet nobody expects a whale to fly. Can you tell me? Tell me. Can you tell me? Tell me. Can you tell me? Tell me... Tell me where I can go and be black.

Tell me where I can go. Where can I go?

Eagles soar without an uproar, owls don't have to fight for the right to hunt at night. The wind blows anyway it wanna go without a care if it offends the air over there. So can you tell me? Can you tell me? Can you tell me? Where I can go... Tell me where I can go and be black.

Rerouting. Rerouting.

I smile too much or not enough. Don't want to seem too strong but weak it wrong. Seems ok to be " black" if you ain't black. I want to interact but I'll just stay back and stay black.

Rerouting.

See everywhere I go and people look like me, they get treated less than the rest of their community. Steal my culture and my history. Seems they don't want me around unless I make them money like Naomi or dance like James Brown. I really want to know where I can go... and be me.

North? South? East? West?

Where I can go and be free. Where I can sing like I wanna sing. Dance like I wanna dance. Sway like I wanna sway. Prance like I wanna prance. Wear my hair however I wanna and be me...

Where can I go and be black?

Signal lost.
