Many Happy Hours In Rhyl

Many happy hours
by the sea in Rhyl,
I can hear the laughter
and I always will.

Walking by the water,
sand beneath my feet,
smelling all the seaside,
salty, fresh and sweet.

Donkeys on the shoreline,
children running free,
little ships were dancing
on the restless sea.

Buckets full of seashells,
castles in the sand,
every tiny treasure
held within my hand.

Ice cream slowly melting,
running down my dress,
sticky hands and laughter,
what a lovely mess.

Penny slots were singing,
lights were flashing bright,
Rhyl became a wonderland
beneath the stars at night.

Oh Wales, I loved
your shades of green,
and Rhyl was like
a childhood dream.

Years may steal the moments,
time may hurry on,
but memories keep playing
when those days are gone.

I still hear the seagulls,
I still feel the breeze,
carrying my happiness
across the silver seas.

Many happy hours
by the sea in Rhyl,
those days live inside me,
and they always will.
