It's good to be manly

My manliness serves me

The fellas respect when I eat something spicy

You won't catch me crying

I'm not a pussy

The men in this club recognize and admire me

I learned from my dad

To not show emotion

"If you want to belong then don't grieve or love, son"

"Take all these burdens

And bury them deep

A man carries all this for his family"

And I was a good student

I kept learning more

My coach said I couldn't talk back anymore

And trust in my teammates

Always protect them

"You're bonded for life with this group of men"

So we formed a new club

But we kept the old laws

Your brothers come first. Women do not.

Well now I'm older

I've read some books

I've listened to women and I know how this looks

But I want you to see

Your man card isn't real

You can paint if you want to, you can say how you feel

I know that it's hard

But you have to escape this

Cuz to you he's your boy

But to her he's a rapist
