Manic tea party

A childhood snack mixed with finger-licking regret

Melancholic drifts in a mind made of tea

swirling particles foraged into concentrations

a wild forage of leaves made bittersweet

sometimes steeped honey bee delight

others a quench of bagged regret

as words and stories are left unsaid

or expressed without sound tune

sirens instead blaring within insides churning

as the brewed leaves promote stewing

while restless minds ease to enjoy

awakening buds our tongues create

deciphering daydreamed fantasy indecorously

as hemp grows into conspiring trees

slowly protruding into the atmosphere

skyrocketing with green decor dancing

swaying briskly in the gushing breeze

growing green towards its final destiny

flowing swiftly away from cropland

until its arrival at a man-made fate

in the hands of a minor too inebriated

for conscious decision-making

herb and seed mixed with inducing tea for

patience necessary to unveil remedies

useful for earthly ways of worrying

wind chimes inside for minds to meditate

rather than hanging beautifully

against the birch or willow tree

its seed sprouted against pale glass from

the concoction of pale glass due to

a concoction of inhales amidst serene sipping

fertilizing chemically unbalanced death internally

of a childlike trance for eternity

Thanks for reading this piece about my favourite childhood snack for the Snacktime Sonata Vocal challenge. It went from innocent teas to cannabis toking (yay trauma).

I'm definitely hearing some trauma here.

You have my vote; if I could vote. ROCK's haven't earned their right to vote yet however. This is where snack-time meets poetry slams! EXCELLENT!
