Manic | Depressive

two sides to one picture

moving, constantly moving

meant to outrun the fear

she stops only when forced

to breathe

in and out

in and out

motion becomes her

stagnant, insidiously stagnant

meant to hold the fear

he moves only when forced

to breathe

in and out

in and out

inertia defines him

two sides to one picture

torn minds from one place

lost youth searching for time

gone to the past

gone from the path

someone, somewhere

in the picture

from the place

at that time

took it

took the trust

took the love

took the breath

from the two

motion and inertia

manic and depressive

a brother

stuck in fear

and a sister

running from it

sad poetry
