A poem

You think you’re on the top of the world,

but you’re really at the edge of a cliff.

You say you’re a god & nothing can ground you.

I see your wings made of wax and know you’re gonna fly too close to the sun.

Life is so fragile and you’re living on the edge,

teetering between reality and delusions.

Are you lost in space and time?

How do we get you back again?

If I hold your hand you think I’m anchoring you,

keeping you trapped from your other place of existence.

I just don’t want you to float away.

I want you watch you fly free,

but not until you know how to land safely.
