Mandala Dreams
Breaking the pattern

Each night
I'm presented another
Snapshot of my life
A freeze frame of irretrievable
Unprocessed strife
Each morning, dazed, I rise
Meditating on the pixelated image
Burned in the retina of my third eye
I contemplatively add
A single freshly plucked petal
Perfectly shaded to my requirements
A sweeping rainbow mandala
Slowly spiraling into a pattern
A monument to
The missing span of life
Lived just out of human sight
Time is fluid
Raindrops on a window
Gapping and skipping ahead
Converging and splitting
Into identical twin wholes
Forced forward by gravity
Chaos rules
Dozens of unrealized me's
None of which will ever be
My life now lived
In service to a memory
The memory of me
