I am shiny and reflective.
You only see the distorted copy of what I have become.
You only see what you want me to be.
As the years go on,
I begin to feel like I'm caving in on myself more.
The force of the pressure grows in speed.
I am a folded portion of my original image.
Just slowly curling in on myself at the seams.
My head ducked down.
Voice soft and hesitant.
I have worried so much from the pressure of disappointing others that
I no longer move.
Stay stagnant and hope not to get caught in anyone's anger.
The weight has become a part of me,
Solid and grounding.
I have learned not to ask for help.
All I can think about now is
What will it take for me to get back up?
