Malleability of Transformation

Beyond Time and Behind Stars

By Sabayo MatikuPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

At full moon’s breath,

Just before the dawn,

When stars fade into an eternal backdrop

And every moan of wind

Is as loud as daylight…

Right before the silence of forever

Encapsulated by movement, through mystery

Get eaten by the chirp and hum of

Flighted things, too mortal to

Sing through the night.

Too reverential of the nothingness of

Darkness to bring about change by force.

This movement, when one realizes that

Their vegetable garden has, in fact,

Frosted over, and that the fruits of their labor

Are claimed by the nothingness they arose from…

It’s a strange beauty we have here,

More elusive to the dregs of perception of which

We have been gifted.

An ongoing surprise, isn’t it?
