Making My Own Luck
I stand steady, roots deep in the ground,
Not waiting for luck to turn around.
Each step I take, my own design,
Strength not borrowed, strength is mine.
No glittering promise, no fleeting glow,
Just quiet power I’ve come to know.
Through every shadow, every strain,
I rise again, I break the chain.
Storms may come and winds may roar,
But I hold firm to what’s at my door.
Not chasing chance or lucky stars,
I build my fate from who I am.
No handouts given, no fate’s demand,
I shape my life with my own hand.
And in this quiet, steady fight,
I claim my space, I own my light.
