from stardust

and you gave the moon

a halo.

for a fleeting breath

you took mine

and a minute stood

like the misty blue sky

that spanned forever.

you touched me

without your fingers,

you kissed me

without your lips

and the air between us

burned.

you knew me

and i knew you

but we did not need

to know each other.

the stars bled magic

and the forest spoke of

us.

the tangled roots

of the black trees

slithered until i found you

so i could look into your eyes

where time drowns

and disappears.
