In the depths of madness hell
Where fear pulls and tangles in the murky depths
No vengeance cry or lust shall quell
✧˚ ༘ ⋆。˚
Strangling vines and poison fruits swell
Demons spawned of lifelong regrets
In the depths of madness hell
✧˚ ༘ ⋆。˚
Living where no peace or happiness dwell
Torching the dreams that drove my steps
No vengeance cry or lust shall quell
✧˚ ༘ ⋆。˚
Nothing left but an empty shell
The burdensome weight of sin reeking in my sweat
In the depths of madness hell
✧˚ ༘ ⋆。˚
Every step I've ever taken tip-toeing on painted eggshells
Tramping to exhaustion, yet I press on, determined
No vengeance cry or lust shall quell
✧˚ ༘ ⋆。˚
Deafened by the cacophony of silent alarm bells
Coated in the pallid, moistureless ash of decimation
In the depths of madness hell
No vengeance cry or lust shall quell

This poem is written in the form of a villanelle. The repetition used in this form lent itself to the subject of madness, in my opinion. I hope you enjoyed this piece and consider trying out this form yourself.
