Mom they called me names again,

They’re messing with my head.

I tried to show them sweet ole life-

But they prefer the dead.

Mom they called me names again,

And I think this time they mean it.

They’ve been rewiring the system,

The boss yet to be defeated.

They crawl into my serenity,

And they took all that they said.

Cried out they’ve been starving and

My misery keeps them fed.

Mom they called me names again,

You promise that you believe me?!

Woven their way into my skin,

I swear they won't stop eating.
