....like a dream
In the quiet night when the stars twinkle,
A sight, a soft glow does sprinkle,
A thing that shines with a gentle beam,
A sheen of beauty, like a dream.
This soft glow can come from many sources,
From the moon above or glow of torches,
A delicate light that makes things glow,
A sheen of wonder you yearn to know.
The softness of its tender light,
Caressing gently through the night,
Creates a realm of peace and calm,
A soothing balm, like a song.
From gentle gleam to luminous glow,
This soft sheen can cast a wondrous show,
Illuminating all it touches,
A gentle warmth that softly flushes.
The softness of this light it brings,
A refuge for the heart and wings,
It's like a magic spell unwound,
A soft sheen that can astound.
Oh, soft sheen, a gentle sight,
A soothing power, gentle and bright,
In the quiet night, with its subtle beam,
One cannot but love its gentle gleam.
