Lunar Lament

The Eternal Struggle of Man and Beast

In shadowed woods where moonlight softly gleams,

There roams a creature of the darkest night,

A beastly form that haunts nocturnal dreams,

A werewolf prowls beneath the silver light.

By day a man, by night a savage thing,

Transformed by lunar rays into its guise,

With howls that through the eerie forest ring,

It hunts beneath the stars with glowing eyes.

Its fur a cloak, its claws like razored knives,

It stalks its prey with stealth and deadly grace,

In primal hunt, its wild instinct thrives,

A creature cursed to roam in endless chase.

Yet in its heart, a human soul may dwell,

A struggle fierce, 'twixt heaven, earth, and hell.'
