A poetic letter

Dear Luna, lone keeper of the skies,

With glowing beams and watchful eyes

You’ve been here through every joy and ache

A silent witness wide awake

-

When I was young and full of dreams

You guided me home in midnight beams

From back seat windows quiet and small

Your gentle glow would calm it all

-

Through every storm I've had to face

I've always felt your quiet grace

even when clouds filter out your glow

You've still put on the most beautiful show

-

You've watched me laugh you've watched me cry

You've kept my secrets in the sky

You’ve watched me fall then rise anew

Each success shared each trial too

-

From my first kiss to love's bitter end

You’ve been a constant glowing friend

No need for words no need for sound

Your light and comfort wrap around

-

You rise and fall but still remain

A witness of joy a witness of pain

And even when you hide from view

I feel your light come shining through

-

So, here’s my thanks, Celestial Guide,

For always standing by my side

We're worlds apart but still so near

A faithful glow forever here

-

With all my love I write to say

You’ve never once felt far away

And in your light I’ve come to see

That you are always there with me

-

Thank you for staying through every trial

for being my calm when I've lost my smile

Tonight I'll look up like I always do

same sky, same shine, still steady, still true

-

You've seen me change you've watched me grow

a silent witness in moonlit glow

so here I write beneath your aura

still dreaming big, love always Sara
