Lumi crept into love like freshly fallen snow

A flake at a time into her heart, love did grow

Over cups of hot cocoa, eyes lingered longer

In her heart, the snow started falling stronger

Lumi saw northern lights inside his embrace

Blinding her to the fact, his heart had no space

She put him on an altar feeding him her devotion

But for her, he gave only a teaspoon of his emotion

What she thought was a breeze turned into a storm

His heart was frozen, incapable of being soft and warm

Lumi failed to heed the warning in his song

She felt foolish; how could she be so wrong?

He played a role for her until he gained her trust

She’s frostbitten with his damage and her disgust

Lumi watches their magic melt like snow in spring

Left with the memory that hearts are fragile things
