I awoke in my dream to realize
I could design it
I asked in the name of my own
Self discovery
And self love
To rise from the water
Instead of allowing
False friends
Who’s cackles I could hear
In the distance
On blueberry island
To disrupt my peace
Laughing at my attempt
To climb the water
Like stairs
I declared it
Was my time
And I rose
To balance on top
Of the wet surface
That once pulled me deep
Into its liquid wonder
I ran across
Laughing
At my own achievement
Transforming
My feet into skates
The water became ice
And I began to
Glide across
The open water
Singing
About how I’ve
Found my own
Love
For
Myself
About the Creator
Veronica
I am the moss silken on watered stones, rooted deep in rich soil. Earthen creature, I am the night sky -starry and strayed from the forgotten path of poets - I am, the chatter from the iron rails rattling as the train carries itself home.
