Lucid

Price.

By Tyler PeerPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

I am lost with no direction in life

Better settle down now and find myself a wife

I hope that she don’t get home too early

It’s half past 8 and I’ve missed the date

Too late for all my empty yet sincere apologies

That’s okay! It’s all in my head

Wake up now! A new fear to shed

Rest alone, rise softly

A feeling to slip into becomes me again

I am hollow but not an empty shell

At least, not yet anyway

A sorry song we’ll sing

You won’t remember anything anyway

Energy? Honestly

Comparatively, still

Approaching manifestation and appearance of will

As no amount of skill

Poetic or otherwise

Can save me now

That’s okay! It’s all in my head

Repeat now, a new fear we can put to bed

Rest alone, rise softly

A feeling to slip into becomes me again

It goes on and on and on

Again, oh!
