Lovely

A Dream

By Mia Published 4 years ago • 1 min read

I went down to the river in my pain and it flooded me

away

washed to the ocean

where I now stand

ankle deep I wander for miles

in friendly waters

I glide past sharks, whales

dolphins and fish with sails

I looked for you there

but the universe had swallowed you

in its elliptical mouth

its massive arms

forever pulling me south

down

child bound

I collided with other souls

danced with them into the center

of the world

drinking the life force

of liquid pearls

small windows were my eyes

wide open skies

beat upon my chest

like wings of a thousand

falcons with silken breast

and I fell to the ocean

drawn to its magnetic unrest

drowning in all that I love

keep me here

I cried

upon this wandering

piece of fire

blind me

bind me

bleed me of all that I find....lovely

I am probably rather boring, but the characters who come to tell me about themselves, well...that's another story.
