You never said it was easy. You never said it was fun. You shouldn't be here now, so why aren't you on the run?
I did what I could and all that I tried. So many times it’s been broken, so many times I've cried.
This one is the worst. The pain just won't go. I know that it’s hard, but how could you hurt me so?
What have I done to you to make you break me so bad? Leave me so hurt, lost, broken, and sad?
Whatever we had is over now. I don't see you with me. Memories faded, hearts have broken, and hopes destroyed. Can't you see?
Love never wanted me.

The Longest Minute
A minute. Sixty seconds to say goodbye. That’s all the time that I had left with him as the needle slid into his leg. I stared into his drooping eyes, looked at the blood-tainted saliva dripping from the corner of his mouth. They said that this was the best thing that we could do for him, a last kind act for a best friend…but if that were the case, then why did my heart feel so heavy?
