Illness my take my youth, my life, but not love my darling husband

It will never take my steadfast love,

We may be forever apart,

But I will always be near, watching you as time goes by,

May the snow capped mountains of Scotland remind you of me

The time we spent together upon it,

The bright stars, that night, this night, and all the nights,

Death may wash away my earthly bonds,

But will never wash away my memory of your hands, your breath

Your head upon my chest, listening to the beat of my heart,

My death is complete, now I wait for your only in your death, shall we meet again.
