Love Me

A Poem to My Insecurities

By Princess EPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Love Me

Love the legs that carry you through the long weary days.

The legs that bring you new adventures,

The legs that keep you grounded,

To the solid concrete beneath your feet.

Love the stretch marks that are your tiger stripes,

Vigorously, powerfully roaring.

The stretch marks that are your warrior scars,

Confessing your freedom.

The stretch marks that have shaped you,

Declaring your triumphs.

Love the strength that you gain,

with every weight lifted.

Love the endurance built,

with every mile ran.

As each sweat drop hits the floor.

Love the confidence built,

with inch lost.

Love the discipline created,

As you discover your worth.

Love the peace,

That flows like a river.

As you release your mind,

As your wishes become reality.

Love me because I am your home.

Love me as you transform me,

Strengthen and build me,

Love me.
