love is

it could be somewhere else

By Mitchie Ann Sabado TeocsonPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read
A solace.

Is it when butterflies afloat in our stomach

After a mischievous grin

A blush, a shy smile

After an obscure lie, an empty compliment

Or a gasp for air, underwater

Breathe, after a long stare

As if taking your soul

In the most majestic way, you thought of?

Neither; for love is calm and peaceful.

A lullaby that carries you in the arms,

Caressing you,

Feeding you assurance of what love is like.

Love does not take your soul,

It does not make you yearn for air

It gives you room to breathe,

Just like a home, in your own room.
