My soul is a cup and love is my water
I ache to be filled
To spill from the sides and refresh those around me who are so lost, so hurt
they forgot what water is
But my cup has a hole
And after a moment of Brimming bliss
I feel dull
And I've tried all I can to seal the crack
Attacked this problem from every side and Now I abide
Because I am lucky
My hole dwells above the base
so I can always save face because I will never be without
But on days of darkness I dance with Doubt and my desires
I ache to be filled.
Drugs drench me
But I refuse to abuse a substance
Just to keep myself full
I will pay the toll I have cast upon myself and roll along
But some days feel so long
And I ache
To be filled
