Love for Sale is a Misnomer

Another consequence of the pandemic that lags on.

Besides a whole family home, people are lonely. Since the lockdowns from the pandemic, we haven’t been the same.

The desperation for company and relationships is discernible. And the pain is real. How can we rebound? The proof is everywhere. Ads for online dating, incels looking for a connection willing to pay for a service that doesn’t exist. And yet, folks keep signing up, hoping for a miracle and being taken advantage of primarily by charlatans or bots. These days, incels talk to fake people without knowing the difference.

By the time they figure it out, they’ve spent a mini-fortune on dating sites.

How can we change the state of things?

Firstly, never buy company out of desperation. Love is not for sale. Have a friendly disposition and act with kindness. Before you know it, you could find someone willing to take a chance on you.

Believe in yourself.

About the Creator

Rene Volpi

I'm from Italy and write every day. Being a storyteller by nature, I've entertained (and annoyed) people with my "expositions" since I was a child, showing everyone my primitive drawings, doodles, and poems. Still do! Leave me a comment :)
