Love displayed on Christmas eve.

The day had passed through mortal sight,

As it begun, the realm of night,

The snow would fall and eyes so weary,

With hearts, longing, dreary,

The tales were told, the heart strings rung,

With carols raised and praises sung,

And love shown, so affectionate and deeply.

The glass then fogged from winters chill,

And stockings hanging on the chimney still,

Eyes that gazed into the other part,

Gasps and sighs, at the desire of the heart.

So it was, on the beautiful night,

For those who dared to believe,

That love could blossom and prosper all the more,

On the night of Christmas Eve...
