Love can be a battleground,

with beautiful explosions;

it can sting like a venom,

dissolving your heart with its corrosion.

Falling in and out can bring a

stoic saint to madness,

as it picks you up beyond the clouds

then drags you down with its sadness.

Love can be a refuge,

love can be a prison;

love can blend like fusion,

or cause so many schisms.

Love can be a mother's arms,

love can be a curse.

Love can have you praying;

for the best, or for the worst.

Love can be a song to sing,

or silence in the rain.

Love can be your sanity,

but love can be so insane.

Love is for the broken,

love is for the lost.

Love can come as free of charge,

love can come at cost.

Love can be an objective thing,

love is memory.

Love can be abstract,

but most of it is chemistry.

Love can be a goal, a place upon the distant stars.

Love can be the engine, love can take you so far.

Love can cause the hate to cease,

love can make it stronger.

Love can make a mother and father

from a son and daughter.

Love is a magic spell:

descendant from high heaven,

yet ascent from deepest hell.

Love is a cardinal feeling, and all of love is well.

When will love be just enough?
