The realization sent a thrill down her spine. She had stumbled upon a means to converse with beings from another dimension.

With a mixture of excitement and trepidation, Tanya began to transcribe a message: "Who are you?" The moment she finished writing, the symbols on the tablet glowed brighter, and a response materialized before her eyes: "We are the Rokunians, inhabitants of the parallel realm."

"Oh my gosh!" Tanya's heart raced. She had made contact.

She asked more questions, learning about the Rokunians' world, their culture, their history. Each conversation filled her with awe and wonder. But she soon noticed something unsettling.
