Lost In The Darkness

Dark Poetry

Lost in the darkness, never to be found.

Lost in the shadows, with no one around.

Lost in the darkness, it's my place not yours.

Lost in the shadows, with no open doors.

Lost in the darkness, no peace only pain.

Lost in the shadows, there's only dismay.

One opened door sheds light in the darkness, one opened door and the shadows are harnessed.

That one opened door exposing the hand of a friend, that one kind friend gives peace without end.

That opened door shines bright with light, with a friend in the doorway against the pain I can fight.

But all doors are shut and my darkness prevails, the shadows they haunt me with no avail.

Stand strong alone in your darkness my friends, because if you don't open the door first that light will always end.
