Lost in a Pocket of Empty Dreams

I walk the streets with weary feet,

Pockets hollow, dreams incomplete.

The sun still shines, but feels so cold,

When hunger speaks and hope grows old.

Coins once danced with silver sound,

Now silence weighs, a loss profound.

The days stretch long, the nights grow deep,

Yet restless thoughts won’t let me sleep.

I chase the sky, yet touch the ground,

Seeking light, but none is found.

A heavy heart, a mind that sways,

Lost between the nights and days.

But even storms will pass in time,

And fortune’s wheel will someday climb.

For though I walk with empty hands,

I still hold dreams the heart commands.
