Lost Christmas

A Poem

By Amber NPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Christmas.... the most Wonderful time of the year... except for me.

Life has gotten so hard.

Everyday life has became a burden.

Everyone fights and yells.

The stress mounts.

The tension hums along running through everyone's blood.

Angry words get thrown like snowballs in winter.

Winter is not as cold

As the feelings that run between my family

Words are swords slashing through

To the core of the holiday spirit

Lights of green, red, silver, and gold

Blink in the background of darkness

Images swirling in the blizzard of emotions

In the mail: Final Notice

A New Year is Coming... Prepare

sad poetry
