Lost Belongingness

At present

Frankly speaking

the reasons are not that critical

that broke the spell

surrounded us

into a spellbound connect

forgetting the reality around us

with an illusion to last long.

*

Delusional spark decayed

reality kicked in

reasons pushed out

dirty truths showcased, gradually

the reasons to be connected — lost

its gravity to hold the hearts,

together.

*

It doesn’t matter

we see each other’s completely now

nothing beautiful to offer.

*

I don’t belong here

the place we shared together, lost its fragrance of love.

You don’t belong to my heart

the place I held there before,

is lost forever.

***

From my individual viewpoint, I have seen numerous relationships and married couples to had a life stuck to each other, along with their hatred for each other to carry on for the rest of their life. Especially for the married couples, I saw that even though they were not happy (rather hating each other from their heart-core), they stuck together till their death. In all of the cases, I have seen that their children had grown up in a troubled mentality and experienced numerous issues from the beginning of their life. Of course, in a typical South Asian family structure, people tended to compromise their emotions (and, in the process, their whole life) to omit the societal pressures, which is changing nowadays.

My understanding is simple: it is an individual’s own life, and you most probably got this ‘one opportunity’ to have a life (if reincarnation doesn’t work). If the place or a heart doesn’t connect, doesn’t justify your presence there, you probably should not belong there.
