Lost Before Found

Falling out of love

By Adebiyi ChristianaPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

Our start was beautiful, exciting, and bright

A couple admired by many, in love's warm light

You showered me with love and emotions true

But failed to see that my heart wasn't loving you

You were blinded by your love, and I didn't know how

To tell you that I didn't feel the same, somehow

I fell out of love before it even began

You lost me before you had me, and it's a painful plan

I detest the lies I told, the hurt I had to bring

Trying to let you go, but you held on, and I couldn't sing

My heart was locked, and I couldn't find the key

To release the love you deserved, and set you free

Now you've let me go, and it hurts to say goodbye

But know that you deserve better, and I hope you'll find

A love that's true, a heart that's kind

And treats you like the man you are, and the love you design.
