Lost

Can you help me find myself?

I got lost finding someone else.

I gave my heart right from my chest

And now in me, there’s nothing left.

I try my hardest to recall

If I was even there at all

Before they swept me off my feet

But here I stand within defeat.

I’m torn, confused, puzzled and sad

And this has got me feeling bad.

I want to sparkle and to shine

But all I see is a dull design

Made up of someone so distraught,

But masked so well you wouldn’t have thought.

I hate admitting at all cost...

But I am absolutely lost.
