Looking Outside Of This Window
On A Sad Summers Day
Looking outside of this window,
On a sad summers day;
The birds are no longer chirping,
Letting me know Summer is calling.
The ground is burning,
As the heat takes hold,
The earth is scorching,
Wreckless humans are making it
old.
Life is no longer buzzing,
And people are staying inside,
The heat has spoiled our harvist,
And the ground is too dry.
Animals are crying,
There is no water left to quench
their thirst;
As the day starts dawning,
It soon sets to evening.
Looking outside of this window,
On a sad summers day
I wonder;
Why,
As humans,
Do we keep wishing the world away?
