LOOKING FOR YOU

I'm waiting

By Umesh Yadav Published 5 months ago 1 min read
Tears in eyes

Its nights like those,
That I fear the most,
The cortisol kicks in my vein,
And your memories paralyse me again.

Its the times like those,
That I fear the most,
When I walk in all alone,
And the home doesn't feel like home.

Its the mornings like those,
That I fear the most,
When I'm sleepy and reach out for your arms,
And all I hear are the buzzing alarms.

Its the evenings like those,
That I fear the most,
When I seek you amidst the noise,
And I don't get to hear your voice.

Its the afternoons like those,
That I fear the most,
When I type your number on my phone,
And stare blankly at the screen, alone.

Its the life like one of those,
That I've always feared the most,
When I sit quietly, destroyed,
Looking for you in the void.
