Irrational And Reckless Senses Required

step into the abyss of being

linger lost in the lust of unknown

where meaning has lost its meaning

roaming listlessly here, all alone

laughter echoes in chaos down the hallway

malice rests in the minds baited breath

all senses have gone, led astray

sensibleness finds its cause of death

come, lose yourself wholly in my madness

cling tightly to the fringe of insane

befriending your new friend, the blackness

tapping into the craziness vein

like the sea being pulled by the moonlight

pulled into the depths of despair

come back for the party after daylight

let it all go and indulge, if you dare

surreal poetryfact or fiction

I concur with Randy on this one! Tangibly surreal and sadly beautiful!

  • So what are you doing inside my mind, Kelli? I must say, you've captured it quite well.

Really excellent! For some reason maybe because of the photo the voice in my head while reading was that of a creepy carnival side show persona. Kind of a “step right up and enjoy the show” vibe

  • Oooo, this is for Rob's challenge? Loved your poem!
